Nicki Minaj has returned with two singles, Barbie Tingz and Chun-Li.
The rapper hasn’t released an album since 2014, The Pinkprint. Although she has collaborated in many tracks with rappers like Drake, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Yo Gotti, Migos and Cardi B.
For a while, Minaj stopped using social media to focus on her new music.
In a live interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 she said, “This is the best album I’ve ever, ever, ever in my life created.”
The song “Barbie Tingz” is believed to be dissing rapper Remy Ma. Nicki sings, “It's time to make hits and it's time to diss/ How you still dissin', still can't find some hits?” The two rappers have been feuding for years.
She named one of her new songs after the Street fighter character, Chun-Li. In her lyrics she says,” While I'm comin' off the court fully drenched/ Here, get some haterade, get ya thirst quenched.” The song is referenced to the negative press she has received and to the people who have made her appear as a bad person.
Today, Young Thug also released a new track named “Anybody” featuring Nicki Minaj.
